Hydro for Dogs

Hydrotherapy for dogs is very common for the following conditions:

OsteoarthritisWeight managementCruciate damageLoss of mobilitySpinal operationsParalysisHip dysplasiaSubluxating patellasGait re-education

Hydrotherapy is used to initiate muscle activity as well as strengthening & stretching them. It improves range of motion & assists in pain relief as muscles relax in the warm water & joints are supported.

This physical exercise also works on the cardio-vascular system to develop stamina & endurance alongside its many other physical & physiological benefits.

Hydrotherapy is undertaken in a purpose built pool or on a water walker / water treadmill. Most treadmills can also be used dry for progressing gait re-education & strength.
